Marley's Pet Rescue was founded in honour of Marley, a special dog whose gentle nature and positive spirit inspired his owner and shaped the rescue's mission. Marley’s admirable behavior and deep connection with his owner highlight the importance of positive reinforcement training and the powerful bond between humans
Marley's Pet Rescue is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization based in Ontario, Canada, dedicated to providing foster-based care for domestic animals in need.
Our mission centers on animal welfare advocacy and securing permanent homes for animals. Marley's operates as a small-scale rescue; we do not maintain kennel facilities. All animals remain in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their furever homes.
All adoptable pets are listed below. Interested in giving a furry friend a loving home?

At Marley’s Pet Rescue, we often receive multiple applications for each animal. We review applications in the order they are received, so we encourage you to apply early! Our top priority is ensuring the best match for both the animal and the adopter, with a strong focus on the animal’s specific needs.
After reviewing the applications, we move to the screening phase. This involves checking the applicant’s veterinary references, conducting a phone interview with the applicant. Any inquiries about the adoption process can be directed to the Marley’s Pet Rescue team.
Once the application has been submitted, a meet and greet can be arranged, at the foster parent’s discretion. For applicants traveling long distances, we can explore alternative meet and greet options. Keep in mind, we won’t schedule a meet & greet until the application is in, the screening process has started, and the foster parent agrees that it’s a potential match. Since our foster families are volunteers, we want to ensure we’re being respectful of their time by scheduling meet and greets only with serious applicants. Please remember that the meet and greet is part of the interview process and should include all members living in the household.
Once the application and screening process are completed, and the meet and greet has been successful, we’ll arrange a home visit. In some cases, the home visit may be scheduled before the meet and greet.
If all steps—application, screening, meet and greet, and home visit—are successfully completed and your family is determined to be the best match for the animal, you will be approved for adoption! At this stage, you will review and sign an adoption contract and submit the adoption fee, which varies depending on the animal.
